I live with my mother in Maryland USA, collecting stamps from parcels and letters arriving from Iran, later known as 'Stamps of a Revolution'

A move to digital photography and a development of a unique mobile light application using an LED source during a long exposure leads me to still life studies and projects. I coin the technique 'Mobilight' as these early studies were made using the LED torch on the back of my Sony Ericsson and Nokia mobile phones.

‘12 Objects’, a years long project for The Guardian Weekend Magazine and Guardian Online, tracking the evolution of twelve everyday objects from the 1900’s onwards. Collaboration with Russell Weekes.

My aunt, Afsaneh Mobasser dies, London

Winner of ‘Lensculture Emerging Talent’ for ‘Afsaneh Box III’

I meet Simindokht Dehghani (owner of AG Galerie in Tehran, Iran) at Photo London. Upon seeing my work she invites me to Tehran to publish a book of my 'Stamps of a Revolution' with an accompanying exhibition.
